Peace Education Conference
Wychwood School Oxford is hosting its inaugural Peace Conference for schools in Oxford on Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th November.
With keynote addresses from authoritative academics in their field, our aim is to offer young people, aged 15-18, an opportunity to meet, learn and discuss core issues related to Target 4.7 of the UN Sustainable Development goals. By listening, discussing and sharing ideas, delegates will return to their own communities empowered to take action at local, national and international levels.
Schools are invited to send delegations of 6-8 students. Because of the challenging nature of the programme content, it is desirable that students have an English level of B2 or higher.
International Programme
The conference is also part of a wider programme designed for international students to welcome them to Wychwood School and the city of Oxford.
Students will have the opportunity to learn alongside UK students and young people from other parts of the world, to visit important sites and to learn about studying in the UK as a student at a world-class university. The Programme runs from Sunday 29th October – Sunday 12th November.
The programme includes:
• Airport transfer from Heathrow
• Full accommodation and food
• Activities, trips, research sessions and conference entry
